Comments: hello , a little about myself , I am Canadian, i am in very good shape for a 52 year old . i am a firefighter with 20 years experience i am also trained in advanced first aid and CPR . i've been sailing all my life . my family currently own a C&C 33 MK2 ,that we race and cruse . i am very calm under pressure witch might come in handy on a race like this. i get along well with others and am able to follow orders and don't take things to personally . i am able to fill multi roles on any boat. this would be my first marblehead race . thanks for your consideration.

CERTIFICATION • 2017 US Sailing Safety At Sea (SAS) certification. Additional Information • Experience in dangerous sailing conditions. The 2017 Annapolis to Newport Race saw one of the worst squalls in the race’s history, complete with up-to 45-knot winds coming off Montauk, NY and lasting until we reached the finish at Newport, RI, 9 hours later. Likewise, the 2016 Race to Mackinac saw one of the worst night squalls in the race’s 108-year history, with Lake Michigan wind speeds as high as 30-knots at 1:00am that caused 22 boats to drop out and 1 boat to sink. I, along with my crew, managed to keep sailing and finish the race despite the dangerous conditions that ripped our only main sail badly to the point we needed to tape it extensively.
