Comments: I used to sail in the lake district back in Poland when I was young and handsome.
I also participated in a multiday sailing cruise on the Baltic Sea, from Poland to Sweden and Denmark. But that also has been many years ago.

Comments: Experienced cruising sailor looking for some racing experience. I am 35 year old, healthy, non smoker and have been sailing dinghy’s and windsurfing much of my life. I have owned keel boats for the last 10 years, starting at 25’ moving to a Niagara 31 and to my present boat, a C&C 38-2. I sail out of Parry Sound so apart from a couple fun races each season, there really is no racing scene. We do well when we do race but I am not an experienced racer. I am primarily a cruising sailor, but I do spend 50-60 days/season on Georgian Bay and I do put the sails up every chance I get and try to get the most out of my boat. They may not know it, but I am racing every other sailboat I see! I often single hand and do pretty well. I fly my asymmetric spinnaker(singlehanded) often but have no proper symmetrical spinnaker experience.
I would love to get a place on a competitive boat for a distance race and learn a thing or two. I could come out early in the season for practice if needed on weeknights if you sail from somewhere closer to my home near Peterborough (Cobourg, Whitby etc). Most weekends from May until September, and the vast majority of July and August I am unavailable as I will be on my boat which is why I can’t commit to a team for regular races throughout the season unfortunately.
I was a 60 ton Limited Masters Captain operating Cable barges and standard barges on Georgian Bay for 3 years. I Hold a Small Vessel Operators Certificate for <5ton commercial vessels, I have my MED A3 (Marine Emergency Duties), Radio Operators Certificate both maritime and aviation, PCOC and CYC Basic Cruising Standard. I also have current First Aid/CPR/AED training and water rescue training.
