Austin Abel - 8648847147 - austin.abel@gmail.com
Position: Mast,Pit,Grinder,Jib Trimmer,Main Trimmer
Experience: Intermediate
Comments: 31yo active racer currently living and racing in New Orleans. I grew up in Charleston and have always wanted to do CRW. I have family in CHS so transportation and lodging is not an issue. Most of my racing is trimming jib on a quarter tonner, or working mast or main on a J-35, but have raced on various other boats including M32, M24, Viper 640, & J-24. I also helm my Cal 35mkii in distance or single hand races, but usually stick to racing faster boats. Currently 6'3" 290lbs, but dropping to 250lbs for next season. I'm large but I move well, I'm in good shape and can grind, send sails up and down and hike HARD all day without giving out. Willing to do any position including being a heavy air alternate. No pride or big ego here. I'm just in it to race and have fun.
