Comments: Hello, my name is Ian. By the time of the Grenada sailing week i will have turned 19. I am a quarter Grenadian but otherwise Danish. I have sailed my whole life with my family in Denmark, the last half of it I have sailed dinghy’s and been to a few competitions and the last quarter I have helmed a 26 ft sailboat at the weekly races at my local club. I also participated in a J/80 world championship. This winter I’m joining a cruising catamaran doing the ARC+ from Europe to Grenada. I can feel I already miss racing so I’m really just trying my luck with this crew form. The idea of the combination of Grand Anse and a regatta seems too good to imagine. Cowes week campaigns in last 20 years with roles including helm, main sheet trimmer and tactics.
Member of the British Commodores cup team in 2008 as watch leader and up/ downwind trimmer on a modified J109.
Where we finished a very creditable 5th in a large international fleet.
Various key roles in Thailand’s Kings cup for last 12 years
on various yachts from a sports boat, a 75 footer, a fast cat, and a 44.7.
And 2 middle sea race.

actively campaigning a Laser, 2nd (again) in London Corinthian SC championships, on the Thames. lots of podium finishes in 2022.
