Comments: My name is Gaura Mudgal, I am 25 years old and from Melville, NY. I am an experienced sailor with a passion for racing, and I am looking for a boat to crew on for the 2022 ALIR. For my experience; in college I was president of the Stony Brook University Sailing team, where we primarily sailed dinghies, but also participated in the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta, hosted by Larchmont Yacht Club. Since then, I have crewed, and held various positions on boats such as Custom Goetz 40, J122, J120, J88, J80, and J92s, amongst others. I am very competitive, and love to race, but am also looking to learn from other experienced sailors and continue to grow and develop my skills. If you are local to Long Island I would love to meet with you and perhaps join your crew on weekend or after-work regattas and practice before the ALIR.

Comments: I am 17 years old and live on the CT shoreline. I have been sailing my entire life, and racing competitively since I was 13. I race weekly on Wednesdays, and do as many weekend events/bigger regattas as possible. I’ve done a couple overnight races and multiple long deliveries. I teach dinghy sailing at a local camp. I am comfortable on A-sym bow, and learning sym as much as possible. I learn quick and am happy to do whatever I can on a boat. I have my US sailing level one cert and a CPR and first aid cert. Planning to get my SAS this summer. I have experience on: Henderson 30, j109, first 36.7, carrera 280, elan 31s. I’ve also raced a melges 30, soverel 27, chance 31, and others. I’m always looking to learn more and love to sail as much as I can.
