Comments: Hello all, I am young, ready to work and excited to contribute to the success of a racing boat. My name is Andre Mitrano and I am a current Junior at Quinnipiac University studying Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. I have grown up sailing and boating around the cape and islands as well as years of dinghy racing through high school as captain. I have been racing sailing yachts for the last five years and have around 1,442 miles offshore, including the Bermuda race in 2019 (round trip). I plan to do the Bermuda race again this coming year as well on the same boat, Selkie. I want to learn as much as I can from sailors who are more experienced than myself. I am handy and capable of doing any task asked of me, whether its below in the cabin cooking, cleaning and maintenance or on the foredeck changing sails, trimming and riding the rail. I will work as hard as possible for the benefit of the team and boat as whole. Please let me know if you have any questions and I am happy to provide a resume or sailing resume upon request.

Comments: Been sailing since college (Cornell), then a semester at the Sea Education Association (125' staysail schooner in the Caribbean). Then various can races before moving overseas. Then joined Huey Long on Ondine in Spain and spent the next year racing maxi yachts (Sorcery, Windward Passage, Kialoa, Midnight Sun) in the Med, New England, SORC, Acapulco, California and finally the Pacific Cup (on a S&S 40) to Hawaii. My main roles were at the mast, trimming, and at the helm, especially down wind. I then went to business school (Harvard), and then moved to England where I started a marina and waterfront property consulting firm. Based on the Hamble, I was able to race locally, including the Fastnet in a Sweden 40. Since, I have skippered several deliveries and charters. Now 62 and very fit, no smoker, I remain in love with sailing and just being on the water. I currently live in Eastham, Ma with my wife and would love to get back into it. Thanks for your consideration. Fair winds & following seas...
